The Trench (Chapter 1)

This project served as a non-linear narrative design exercise for my 2022 class: Science Fiction and Futuristic Narratives. Inspired by popular sci-fi authors, I use literal metaphors to tell a story about the collapse of Earth's infrastructure and our desperate struggle to survive our own undoing. As this was for a narrative class, I never evolved the story past what we have here, nor did I add any assets beyond some HTML markdown and CSS filters. There were however, plans for another three chapters that evolved the story into a deep psychological horror about isolation and what can happen when you're left with nothing but your own thoughts.
